The Quest for XP – Battlefield 3; Being aware of your surroundings

Peripheral vision allows us to see things that we are not concentrating on. Everyone at one time or another has noticed something out of the corner of their eye and been attracted to it. This can be considered a distraction but in FPS games it can be the difference between a win and loss.

The video below shows some nice SKS gameplay on the last M-COM in a rush game on Damavand peak.  The main concern of the video is however my failure to notice my surroundings as I develop tunnel vision.

This is a test video with Audio commentary from me (sorry done with a not so good video editor). If this is a direction you would like to see us use then please let me know.

So for now take a look at the video and have a chuckle at my ineptitude, but then question yourself how often do I use the mini map and how can my improve my awareness of the battlefield.

As you saw above I deployed my TUG but failed to take notice of it causing me to die but more importantly I allowed the M-COM to be planted without giving any resistance. Hope this video helps and don’t forget to leave comments negative or positive my ego can take both.

Shout out to Karbaassi on his first run with us on the Battlefield nights.

Also to Ben Landis for the intro to the video and the series as a whole check him out at http://www.benlandis.com/

See you on the Battlefield.
